What is the capacity of the Milton Room?
The Milton Room can accommodate a maximum of 50 guests of 5 tables of ten. 

What is the dress code?
The dress code in the Milton Room is respectably smart.
However, should you decide to set a more specific dress code for your special event, you are free to do so. 

Is there an open bar in the Milton Room?
Unfortunately there isn’t one. However, a selection of bar drinks can be pre-ordered and be available for your guests to enjoy on the day.

Is it possible to have musical entertainment?
The Milton Room is equipped with a Bang & Olufsen six-CD changer with an AM/FM radio. We do have a selection of classical and jazz CDs available for all our guests. You are more than welcome to bring your own CDs, should you wish to do so and our team will make sure these are played in the order you prefer.

You could also have live music as long as no amplification system is used. A string quartet, a jazz trio, a guitarist or even a singer are all great ideas to entertain your guests and we will be more than happy to help you book them. Your band could set up and play in the garden, weather permitting, or in the raised area at the entrance of the Milton Room. Musicians can change in the Milton Room prior to your event if need be.

Is dancing allowed?
Unfortunately, we are not licensed for dancing.

What time can I access the Milton Room from?
When you book for lunch, you can access the room from 11.00am.
When you book for dinner, you can access the room from 7.00pm.

What time do my guests and I need to vacate the Milton Room?
When you book for lunch, we kindly request our guests to vacate the room by 5.30pm.
When you book for dinner, we kindly request our guests to vacate the room by 1.30am.

Is the Milton Room accessible for disabled people?
Yes. The Milton Room has its own disabled toilets and every area of the room and the gardens is wheelchair accessible.

What is the deposit required to secure my booking?
When you decide to confirm your booking for the Milton Room, we do require a deposit of £30.00 per person along with a signed copy or our terms and conditions. If you have also booked some bedrooms for your event, we would also require a £200.00 deposit per bedroom per night.

Can the meal be served in the patio area / garden?
Unfortunately no, we can however serve your drinks reception and canapés in the garden area.

Can the private dining menus be mixed?
The private dining menus can be mixed and matched; we kindly request that the dishes you select are from the same menu type.

What flowers are included in the hire of the room and where are they?
The room hire include two complimentary vases of seasonal flowers, one in the reception area and one in the dining area. In addition, seasonal posy pots are also included to decorate your tables.

What equipment is available in the Milton Room?
We can provide flipcharts, an over-head projector, a screen, notepads and pens or pencils.

Can transportation be organised?
We can organise taxis, people carriers, chauffeur driven cars or coaches for your event.

What is the Milton Room’s policy on corkage?
Unfortunately, we do not allow guests to provide their own beverages at Le Manoir.

Can patio heaters and / or flares be provided?
We can provide flares for the Milton Room’s garden. Unfortunately, no patio heaters are available on site but can be hired in for you.

Is the Milton Room air-conditioned?
Yes.

Are there any baby-changing facilities?
Yes, in the disabled toilets.

Is confetti allowed?
We do not allow confetti; however, rose petals are acceptable.

How is the room set up for a wedding ceremony?
The ceremony takes place in the reception area of the Milton Room. Chairs are laid in a semi-circle with an aisle leading to the registrar’s desk by the window. We can set up 36/40 chairs and there is also a pew in the Milton Room for more people to be able to sit.

Is there a room to change into my wedding dress before the ceremony?
If you are not staying with us, we can’t promise that there will be a bedroom available for you to change into. However, you are more than welcome to use the very spacious Milton Room’s restrooms, should you need to change.


Please note: in accordance with new legislation, Le Manoir is non-smoking in all public areas and all bedrooms since July 1st, 2007.
